Formals/Birthdays/Engagements

Events such as Formals, Fundraisers, Markets and Parties, I aim to blend in with the crowd, and keep inconspicuous. I love taking photos of people in formal attire! But the real fun is shooting birthdays. If I weren't taking photos at a birthday party I would definitely be the DJ! Whether its your 21st, 25th or whatever you are turning, it's my honour to be there with you celebrating, and documenting your night!

While shooting engagements, I'm there to capture every emotion I can, that you feel towards your significant other! I understand that not everyone is comfortable getting their photo taken, but just remember there is nothing that you need to do for me to capture the perfect shot, except for just being yourself. While I may give minimal directions, at the end of the day, I am there to photograph you and your partner and the natural interactions and emotions you share together.

Portraits, Lifestyle/pets

Portrait shoots (while they may seem basic and even mundane) are a lot of fun to do! I personally like to avoid the studio and go out into nature amongst the tress, park and beaches. Dramatic photos are my personal favourite, and the more unique the better. Having people dress up into more exotic formalwear will always make a photo pop out.

Although I understand not every one is comfortable, or has the same amount of confidence as those on the catwalk. So fear not, you will look perfect by just being yourself are your natural emotions are captured! Making the ordinary look interesting from unique angles and at times with spontaneity is the best, and yet most challengeing part! Often, the best photos of people will appear when they are "camera unaware".

Pets are also lots of great fun to photograph! Indoors at home or outdoors at the park or the beach. Shooting fast is critical when taking photos of dogs (as you could imagine!)

Landscapes/Long Exposure

Landscapes and Long Exposure Photography is potentially one the most lonely kinds of Photography unless it's done with a group of people. Also, the weather can obviously play a huge part, as it can either make or break a shot! Landscapes and Long Exposure definitely requires the most effort for possibly the least amount of reward from my experience, however the prints made from the photos have the potential to be seen by thousands of people!
